MURI-GRIES is more than a winery. Within its historical walls, the daily round is guided by monastery life in combination with work in a busy cellar and the work on its own 35-hectare wine estate with vineyards in the best locations in and around Bolzano. History brought all this together more than a century ago. The routines in the vineyard and the cellar have always gone hand in hand. The work involved is highly specialized. At MURI-GRIES, the driving force is the desire to keep learning and continually enhance the quality of every single wine.

PINOT NERO

ALTO ADIGE DOC
PINOT NERO
MURI-GRIES

The fruity elegant one. This classic Pinot Nero is impressive above all for its ripe fruit flavors. On the palate, subtle flavors combine with a velvety opulence. It is a wine of medium structure that pairs well with a variety of dishes: braised shoulder of beef, pan-seared cutlets of lamb and pork, fish dishes and mature cheeses.

PINOT GRIGIO
MURI-GRIES

The globe-trotter. Pinot Grigio is the most frequently cultivated variety in Alto Adige, where it has developed a strong Pinot character. A competent allrounder – ideal with pasta dishes with tomato sauce, vegetable lasagne, vegetable terrines, pumpkin soup, potato casseroles and fresh cheeses like goat’s cream cheese.

LAGREIN

ALTO ADIGE DOC
LAGREIN
MURI-GRIES

The classic. Our Lagrein is the perfect symbiosis of tradition and modernity. In Alto Adige it can be traced back to its origins over several centuries. It has always been at home here. This is a wine with pedigree and character: down to earth and open to the world. The ideal companion to game (roe deer, chamois, venison), all kinds of roasts, grilled meat dishes or a juicy entrecôte with herbed butter.
